I’m Shona, and this is my husband Rudo and our kids Kayla and Kaia. Together we own and run this boutique hotel in the making! Opening a stylish yet budget, family, and eco friendly boutique hotel has been a life long dream of mine.
So 6 years ago when we moved back to Barbados (Rudo’s Birthplace), we went on a mission to make this dream a reality. We sacrificed and moved in with parents to cut expenses and started saving up and looking for the right property.
We purchased 19 Moravian Gardens a large run down oceanview apartment complex in Maxwell Christ church and started doing a massive redesign and renovation, drawing on my experience as an American Architect and our joint love of travel. We want to give you everything we look for in travel accommodations — safe central location, nice views, unique stylish while comfortable interiors and prices that don’t break the bank! Right now only 6 of 10 APTS are listed for rent on airbnb and we are working hard to get more APTS renovated and listed.
We have a LONG way to go, to truly make Paradise Point Barbados a boutique hotel.
